New Side of Thessa

Cheers to that!

Before all those fun events and trips, which will come soon, I'd like to share some things what I have found out in past last weeks about Greece and Thessaloniki. On the second week I had a ride with a bus, where the chairs were made of wood, also on that week I studied to use the stop button, because it may happen that without that the bus will not stop. I also learned how to crab a seat, because on those days, while I have finished my shift in hospital and it hot outside, it's a  nightmare to stand 40 minutes in the bus, the second skill what I got, is how to get out from the bus when it is totally full of people. I found out that a lot of peole in here believe in orthodox religion, so living together without getting married and divorcing is not very common in here, also while I past some church by bus, then some people makes the cross moves, in my first time there were like half of the people in bus who did that, every time when it happens, I need to remind myself that it is okay to not do it. The traffic is quite mad in here, which in the beginning made me more cautious, but now I am used with that, although I am not sure will I ever get used with those crazy bus and taxi drivers. I also noticed that Greek people drinks here a lot of coffee, in summer times frappe (ice-coffee), like really, in hospital everybody are drinking frappe all the time, bus as I don't drink coffee, then I still haven't tasted it. Also one of the things what Greek people are doing is speaking loudly, very usual to say something out loud all over the room, but usually it doese'nt bother me, so I don't mind their actions. But there has been some other things what are bothering me, for example the month card system- the month card literally is valid for certain month (no 30-days system), there is no chance to buy it on Internet (at least I haven't heard of it), so beginning of the month people are waiting in the long lines, in my first and last time I standed there like 30 minutes, but for now I have decided to continue with the single tickets, because the price will be in the end of the month same or even cheaper (the month card costs 15€). But despite of those annoying things, the last two weeks has made my life much more cozy and nicer in here and ofc the weather helps a lot (it's still 20-25 degrees), unbelievable, that I have spent here already 1 month!
Cheers to that!
