Welcome to Thessaloniki!

Sounds like heaven right!?
Cheers!

Yassas
Around a week ago I started a new adventure in Greece, so I thought that at this time I am trying to blog (and still vlog) about it more than before, I can't promise that it will be successful, but I will try my best
To Greece, Thessaloniki I came with Erasmus+ program, so it's my third time to have all that joy and madness to make the progress again, also at this time I am making my internship in hospital, but all about that in some other post. Before the first day in hospital I had the whole week to get used with local life, although the culture is similar with Turkish one, then still there will be a lot of more surprises for me.
For sure what I love in here is the weather, because the whole week has been sunny and around 25-30 degrees, the locals are talking about the autumn, but for me it's totally summer! The city itself reminds me a mix of Romania and Turkey, but I guess the the houses in South-Europe are similar to each other, like the houses in North-Europe. One thing what makes my life more easier is the local money, which is euro- no calculating anymore (I love it), but on the other hand in the first time of my life I need to deal with Greek letters, which little bit are similar to Russian ones, so it's easier to read (but not understand) the text, in city center there's also a lot of signs which are in "normal" letters and in English. The English is pretty good in here, a lot better that it was in Turkey or Czech Republic, but let's not forget about the tourist status of that city. Food is similar with our food, but also with Turkish ones, but I still haven't seen nowhere else a canteen which has made to the students and where's free breakfast, lunch and dinner and it's in EVERYDAY like this! In here it's also super normal, that in the first thing while people sit down in cafe is the FREE water by cafe place and here is one super cool street (which I call the food street), where the big fruit salat costs 2.50€ and a big piece of pizza is 0.80€! Sound's like heaven right?! There's also a bad side of the food world, the supermarkets are closed on Sundays, and the little ones in every day while it's siesta (3.30-5 pm) and the meat is super expensive in here (I guess the most cheapest sausages what I found were like 1,50€), but hey, there's a free food for students!
So in general the life is beautiful, except in those moments when I want to go home (yeap, at this time I feel sometimes like this)- but at least I have the warm weather and free food!
Cheers!
