St. Petersburg

And now a small talk about my St. Petersburg trip! As usually my post are quite short and lack of information then at this time I'd like to give some tips about this amazing city!

Duration of trip:
*5 days, 3 days in St. Petersburg.
Travelling to destination:
*We went there by 2 ships. First we went to Helsinki and then to St.Petersubrg, way to home was same.
*Plus: By ship it's visa-free trip, but only for 3 days, after that it's not allow to stay in Russia without visa.  A new stamp in your passport:)
*Minus: Too short time to see whole city.
*PS! It is very important to not lose arrival and departure card (given with ship ticket) + paper which is similar with visa (given while entering to Russia) . It is necessary to show all those documents to passport control worker. In the end of trip all those documents are collected by passport control worker, except arrival card which is collected while entering to Russia.
About local life:
*End of October was quite cold, in the mornings there were even minus degrees, so I recommend to wear warm jacket, boots and gloves.
*Money: ruble. It is not to problem to change money there, but it is important to find safe place, for example some bank. Thanks to inflation which happened lately in Russia the life is a bit cheaper than in Estonia.
*Traffic: It's crazy like in every big city, so I recommend to walk or use metro.
*Language: With English and poor Russian it is possible to do main things, at least in service sector.
*PS! It's good to keep your passport in safe because of pickpockets, so one option is left it in your sleeping place (if it is safe place).
Accommodation:
*We were in Mir hostel (HERE)
*Plus: It is on main street which means it is near to most of the main sightseers, food places, party places and metro. Rooms are big and whit different number of beds. Living rooms are on both floors and the kitchen is very cozy. There is free wifi and workers speaks English. My bed was very nice.
*Minus: Rooms are on third and fourth floor, there is no elevator. Rooms aren't perfect (like photos shows) but quite good. Wifi is working only on fourth floor living room and near of reception. Kitchen is only on fourth floor.
Places to eat:
Unfortunately I don't have any names, because I didn't know that I will talk about them until today. But I liked pancake place on Nevsky Prospect street and I recommend to try dumplings and other local food!
Sightseers: *For me St. Peterburg is one of those cities which is full of beauty, gold of endless kilograms, deep religion and amazing royalty. My favorite places were Church of Savior on Spilled Blood , which is decorated with amazing details,  St. Isaac's Cathredal where is change to see wonderful view of city;  Kazan Cathredal which is a working church with so strong energy; and
Hermitage which is one of those places what are in my must-see list. All those places are typical sightseers in St. Petersburg but they are amazing!
 Free time:
*For example we had city tour by boat on Neva, dinner with Russian dance and songs. Also we had some time to check out local party places.

I hope that you got some new information about St. Petersburg or at least it was interesting to read this post, so let me know should I continue posts like this or not? But for now I'm going show you some photos!

Reisi kestvus:
*5 päeva, millest 3 veetsime sihtkohas.
Sihtkohta reisimine:
*Tegemist oli kruiisireisiga marsruudil Tallinn-Helsingi-St.Peterburg-Helsingi-Tallinn.
*Pluss: Viisavaba luba viibida riigis 3 päeva ja uus tempel passis, millega hiljem sõprade ees uhukstada!:)
*Miinus: Vähene aeg riigis veetmiseks.
*PS! Laeval saadud väljumiskaart ning passikontrollis antav nö viisa tuleb reisi lõpuni alles hoida, sest neid küsitakse riigist väljudes piirikontrollis uuesti. Laeval saadud riiki sisenemiskaart tuleb anda ära riiki sisenemisel passikontrollis.
*Liiklus: On suurlinnale omaselt hullumeelne, soovitan liigelda jala ning metrooga.
*Keel: Inglise keele ning vähese vene keele oskusega on võimalik kenasti hakkama saada, vähemalt teeninussektoris.
*PS!
Majutus:
*Ööbisime hostelis nimega Mir hostel (SIIN)
*Pluss: Asub peatänaval (Nevsky Prospect) ehk on väga lähdeal peamistele vaatamisväärsetele (nt Talvepalee on kohe ümber nurga), toidukohtadele, peokohtadele ja metroole. Toad on suured, erinevate inimeste arvuga, mõlemal korrusel on elutoad, väga hubane köök.  Tasuta wifi, töötajad räägivad inglise keeles. Minu voodi oli ülimugav.
*Miinused: Toad asuvad 4/5 korrusel, majas pole lifiti.
